Having lived in Manhattan last year, I stumbled upon a neighborhood that feels like a well-kept secret—Gramercy Park. Tucked away from the city’s usual hustle, this charming enclave is a true throwback to old New York, with cobblestone quiet, timeless architecture, and a sense of community that feels nearly impossible to find today.
At the heart of it all is the iconic, private Gramercy Park itself—accessible only to residents lucky enough to hold one of the highly coveted keys. It’s this mix of exclusivity and elegance that gives the neighborhood its soul.
If you're a fan of And Just Like That, you may have already felt the pull of Gramercy. Carrie Bradshaw’s brownstone—which has always been a co-star in its own right—is now (fictionally) set in this storied area. With its wrought-iron balconies, intricate moldings, and interiors draped in warm wood floors and vintage details, it perfectly mirrors the neighborhood’s refined yet eclectic vibe.
In many ways, Carrie is putting Gramercy on the map for a whole new audience. And for those of us who love a little romance with our real estate, it’s easy to see why this neighborhood is finally getting its close-up.
